Goddess preserve us… I've been in fights with some ugly odds before, but nothing could have prepared me for this. All around me the song of battle and the sensation of pain not my own is singing in my ears. The forces of the Xelor called Nox are overwhelming us through sheer numbers. The Sadida warriors and their Cra allies are brave but that will only carry our side so far.  I know vaguely recall hearing another band of adventurers was fighting elsewhere, deeper in the forest, but that gives us on the front lines little comfort. I wade deeper into the fray.  Somewhere behind me one of the Cra archers gripes I'm in the line of fire.
