Darn it, I love this kid. He became one of my babies. I adore him to pieces, bad temper and attitude problem and all.

BUT DANG IT, HIS HAIR.

I was watching the Teen Titans episode "Trust," and the first time I saw him power down and saw his hair...I kind of cringed. The kid is a spitfire (pun only partially intended) with that dangerous sort of attitude that both draws people to him but scares them off at the same time.  He's tough but a totally awesome bad-ass at the same time, and he knows it.

That thing aspires to be an afro but like, supanerdfro.

And to that, I was like, "NO. STAHP. 8( You're a bad-ass baby, so you need to have hair that works WITH your 'tude, boy."
Hence, this attempt at giving him cornrows. I'm not sure it turned out all that well. (I was told by a couple of people that all I really ended up doing was making him look like Jayden Smith.) Oh well. I tried. And at any rate, I prefer this design to his canon hairstyle, so I'm going to use it for all fanart and fanfiction purposes in the future. Wheee, laziness flaming torch hands for the win!
