Description

"Aww, come on, Papa Bear, gimme a smile!"
"..."
"What, do I need to smash a pie over Ramsey's head or something, I'm not funny enough? Come ON, Papa Bear, it's Father's Day!"
"...you know I'm still too young to be a father, Baby Bird."
"Well, you're the only dad I'VE got. Come on, Harvey, just ONE smile? All of *Yoruhoshi's watchers wanna see too!"
"...the coin said no."
"BULLCRAP, I KNOW you didn't flip it yet!"

All my OW. Originally I drew both Two-Face AND Wraith but I botched Wraith so horribly when I tried inking her, I refused to scan the full thing. Dent, you are NOT too young to be a father, quit lying.

Anyhow. I figured if I'm going to eventually write an entire outline of my headcanon Gotham for my watchers so you can all understand how my fanfictions and Batman art function, I might as well show you all Two-Face of my headcanon universe. See, there have been a LOT of different depictions of Two-Face in the Batman mythos over the decades. [link] [link] [link] [link]
Case in point. Recently, a few of my friends have been asking me if, since I write "Freaky Family" set in the BtAS-verse, if that Two-Face is my headcanon Two-Face. The answer, much to their shock as it were, was no.
I find that all the images of Harvey Dent that I've been exposed to over the years cannot seem to stick in my head as THE Two-Face. I've even seen the TB official design of Two-Face that was released in hopes they would make it to a sixth season, and even that is not my headcanon Two-Face. I feel like almost every depiction of his scarred left side is either over-the-top garish and ridiculous (ex: Tommy Lee Jones in "Batman Forever" ) or horridly unrealistic in the sense you cannot have scarring like that in real life, because you wouldn't be alive. (Ex: Aaron Eckhart in "The Dark Knight." Sorry Nolan fans, but the way the make-up was done for his scarring was also unrealistic in my opinion, though notably a tad more likely than Tommy Lee Jones's make-up.)

So this is my headcanon Two-Face for everyone to see. He actually turned out PERFECTLY when I drew him. I did mess up on the lines for his suit, but I can forgive myself a bit, since I'm a writer by trade.
Okay. The hair. I either see his design showing hair on the left side of his head or else he's too scarred there is no hair. I think that his scarring would eventually allow for hair to grow back, but that it would be thin and patchy in spots, and it wouldn't get much longer than a light sort of fuzz. Also, he's always had light brown hair, in my mind. I feel like there are too many men in the DC universe who have either solid blonde hair or, (Gotham City, you're the worst offender for this,) solid black hair. So my headcanon Harvey shakes that up a bit. Not to mention his eye color, too. Most brunette men in Gotham seem to have blue eyes. (I'm looking at YOU, Bruce Wayne, Richard Grayson, and Tim Drake!!) But I've always pictured Harvey with gray eyes for some reason.
He's a mob boss, so pinstripes for fun. But of course, the double-sided theme has to stick there too!
When I'm not writing in BtAS-verse and keeping that Two-Face in the canon, in my mind, his scarring was a result of a shrapnel grenade thrown at him during one of his re-election campaigns for district attorney. The hired thugs of some other high-status criminal that Harvey had put behind bars arrived during one of his speeches, with the intent to kill him with the grenade. Batman arrived just in the nick of time to take these thugs out, but the grenade still was thrown and went off. It ended up nowhere near its intended target, but the damage was still done, and Harvey Dent ended up with a lot of shrapnel buried in his face. And clearly, the surgery did not save his face. He has enough scar tissue on that side of his face that there is very poor blood circulation, so his skin on his left side has a grayish tint that is commonly associated with "dead" flesh.
And his left eye? His vision comes and goes in it. Most of the time, he can't see out of it, but when his vision returns at times, it's blurred double-vision in that eye.

He's got a neutral expression here, because I also picture him with a rather bored or just mild expression most of the time when he's alone or around Wraith. He can of course, look rather terrifying when he gets furious, but here (off-screen) Wraith is attempting to get him to smile because when Harvey smiles--when he truly, genuinely smiles in a rare display of happiness--you can see the ghost of the handsome man he used to be just below the surface, lingering in spite of his terrible scars.

Hope you guys like him, and that this has you eager as a precursor for my headcanon Batman outline I'll post!

Ooooooooh, well check that out!!
Not BAD chica!! Again, I think the scars would be pinker just because of the redness of human innards and burns.
But it's a GOOD design!! The "ashy" color works too. I like it. X3

LOL!! It's not just Gotham!! Superman has black hair and blue eyes. Wonder Woman does too!! XDD
It's just a DC thing... wait... I think WOLVERINE DOES TOO!! XDDDDD
