Gawain Strange [fanfiction cover art]

DID EVERYONE SEE THAT? BECAUSE I WILL NOT BE DOING IT AGAIN.
Yes. I made digital art. For once.
NOW WATCH ME NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
Essentially, the reason for this was that I got bored the other evening, decided that I wanted to make cover art for my fanfiction about Gawain, and determined that I felt entirely lazy on the idea of trying to draw and color concrete with traditional media, and ChaseYoungIsMine suggested I download the 30-free-days trial of Photoshop and just play around with it. I told her if she wanted to be tasked with the daunting challenge of being a tutorial, then I'd do so. She did, so I made the thing. Mind you, I think this took maybe three consecutive hours altogether? And even so, I have to give credit not only to ChaseYoungIsMine for talking to me the whole time over Skype, but also LadyKimba, who not only encouraged this as well, but fixed what shading I did and improved the shading on the entire piece as a whole.
Determination by the end of these hours of just goofing around in Photoshop and making this? I highly respect ANYONE who has the patience to do digital art, particularly coloring. I salute you all.

I do not have the patience with digital art. Not to mention, (and I'm certain Lycan and Nicole can both affirm this,) I stated several times while working on this that I was bored, or something to that extent. About the only part of this I enjoyed was playing around with the smudge tool, and that was it. The rest was just aggravating.

Still, for not being a digital artist, I don't think this turned out too horridly. I can only hope that it does its job in getting people interested in reading the fanfiction.
