Chapter 2: First Impressions

Arial woke with a start, an alarm clock blaring near his ear, and he tumbled out of the bed with a crash. Shell-shocked, he scrambled to his knees and automatically reached up to smack the clock off. He stared around the unfamiliar room, utterly at a loss for what to do.
So it wasn't a dream, he thought, sitting on his knees as he took in his strange surroundings, Last night really did happen.
He recalled being found by the intimidating man named Logan, being led to this room by the kind, deep-voiced woman called Ororo, and meeting the psychic, this mysterious Professor Xavier whom the other two spoke so highly

He was racing along a corridor, trying to alternate between speed and stealth.  After all, every now and then the guards would walk by, and he had to press his back to the wall and practically crab-walk to avoid being seen.  This was one of those times.  The ledge he was aiming for was just within sight…a quick fling of his grappling hook and he could be up there…but the guards were still walking the halls, and the slightest motion would catch their attention.
"Be a ninja…" Michelangelo murmured.  "Be one with the environment…"
"MIKEY!" a voice yelled his name, making him accidentally

[Jeanette's POV:]

Friday dawned, dark, gloomy, and covered in a steady shower of rain.  Soft thunder outside the window had woken me first, followed by the screech of my alarm clock, belting out, "We'll make you hap-pyyyyy!"  This time I slapped the flat of my palm down on the blasted thing without looking and fumbled around for my glasses.  I wasn't, however, totally ready to get out of bed just yet.
I still found it hard to believe that I'd even agreed to let Mr. Pendragon court me, and it seemed surreal somehow, both terrifying and exciting all at once.  I let this strange, exhilarating feeling consume

For :iconitazuran: and myself. Because we both are having that weird problem where a minor villain that annoys most people has somehow become endearing to us, and we're not entirely sure how to deal with it. For her, it's TB!Penguin, and for me, well...it's Slithe, from Thundercats.

(Yes, MJ and TDC will both probably squee when they see this. I knew I was taking that risk when I drew this.)

At least Pengers tries to make himself endearing? Slithe, bby. That's NOT how you get me to draw y--Okay, it worked this time, I suppose. *grumbles* But srsly Slithe honey stop creeping out Pengy. He's not the type to brohug.

Hope you liked this or at least got a giggle out of it! :XD: (I'm laughing twice as hard as the rest of you right now, as Gangnam Style is playing on my shuffled Windows Media Player.)

Believe it or not, I've never drawn him prior to this. But teeny chibi Pengers was really fun to draw.

He won't. :[ That's just how he works. If he can't get his way by whining and bitching, he'll get his boyfriend to put me in a headlock he'll just whine and bitch more.

Ooh, me and Slithe would NOT get along then. If it wre me I'd whine and bitch back or something else smartass to tell him to go away.

I have things like that, where I want to draw an idea I have, but I don't know what to draw it with until I find an excuse. :XD:

Oh Penguin. Yes,he can be persistent, but frankly he's endearing enough that I forgive it. :) And yeah, Riddly is still center stage. :meow:

Slithe is the freaking bitch queen of the galaxy. 8( Not even kidding, it's a staple aspect of his character in every version there's ever been of him. Hell, I think that's one of his listed tropes. *gigglesnorts* Now I'm tempted to draw the two of you going back and forth arguing.

Don't you hate when that happens? It's like, "OH, idea! Oh wait, I actually have to draw it? That means I have to do a thing. ...eh, whatever, I'll wait until I've got a good enough reason."

XDDD Heeeee~ Keep trying, Pengers. Not that I think you'll ever steal center stage, but at least that way you can say that you at least tried. Zura will forever love Riddly most though, in my mind.

Uhm, I saw the original as a little kid, then while I had nothing to do but waste time I watched a few of the episodes of Thundercats, and ran across an episode with Slithe. Then another time, about a week afterwards, I was watching CN and the 2011 Thundercats reruns, and surprise, more Slithe. YES, YOU HAVE APPROVAL! :dummy: (It's alright. But HEEEERR'ES JOHNYYYYYY... :XD:)

Those little punks.
